The Beebo Brinker Chronicles: Sept 15 – Oct 10 @ ReBar! Kickstarter campaign ends Sunday!!

I am thrilled beyond belief to be a in the Beebo Brinker Chronicles Stage Play, opening next Thursday, as well as to have been a part of the Cabaret series! I’m playing the role of Laura, opposite Rhonda Soikowski as Beebo, and Opal Peachey as Beth. Getting to work with these women has been one of the highlights, for sure.

This project is based on the lesbian pulp fiction books of Ann Bannon, written in the 50s and 60s, chronicling lesbian life in Greenwich Village.

How can YOU support this project?

Come see the play! We run for 4 weeks, Thurs-Sunday: GET TICKETS HERE!
Support our Kickstart campaign to cover some upfront costs: DONATE NOW!
We have only 3 days left to raise the remainder. We are SO CLOSE! Every little bit helps. 🙂

BHOF 2011: MIB for the Win!!!!

I’m so so so so so so so so so so so thrilled that my boss and dear friend, Miss Indigo Blue, was crowned Reigning Queen of Burlesque at the 54th Annual Burlesque Hall of Fame Reunion Weekend.

This was my 5th year attending, and perhaps my favorite. I’m sure that’s in big part because of her win. But I also felt like the performances and production of the weekend were above and beyond what I’ve seen before!

I’m so proud of all the northwesterners who competed and performed. I’m on vacation for another week, but very excited to go home and celebrate with everyone!

BHOF Benefit!!!!

I am so so so excited for the Northwest Burlesque community! We are REPRESENTING at the Burlesque Hall of Fame Weekend ’11!

My boss and dear friend, Miss Indigo Blue, is competing for the Queen of Burlesque title! I am so proud of her, and so excited to cheer her on! Also competing for that title is Seattle’s Lily Verlaine!
And in the Best Debut category are my pals Iva Handful and Randi Rascal from Seattle, and Charlotte Treuse and Angelique DeVille from Portland!

AND in the Thursday night showcase, Waxie Moon, Inga Ingenue, and Nina Nightshade!!!

Cuh-razy-town!

We have a couple Burlesque Legends who live in Seattle as well: Eartha Quake and Velvet Ice!

On Friday May 20th, the Academy will be hosting a fundraiser! Proceeds will go to cover the travel expenses of Eartha and Velvet so that they can go to BHOF, and any remaining proceeds will go to the Hall.

All of the Seattle performers going to BHOF will be performing, as well as the Heavenly Spies, who won Best Group ’07!

The show is gonna be amazing. I feel so blessed to be in the Seattle Burlesque community, and this is a night where the best of the best will be entertaining us! Please get your ticket now if you have not already, as it will sell out! TICKETS HERE!
